Dental Sealants

Dental sealants help to prevent cavities with a protective coating that is applied to specific teeth creating a barrier that keeps food out of smaller crevices of the tooth.

What to Expect

Sealants are pain-free and easy to apply. We will clean and dry the specific teeth that the sealants will be applied, then a mild acid solution will be applied to the surface of the teeth to help the salant bond effectively. We will then paint the sealant onto the designated tooth and cure the sealant with a special light. This process is quick.

Fluoride Treatment

Flouride Treatment helps to prevent decay by strengthening the enamel of the tooth. This service can help prevent plaque buildup, acid damage, and unwanted bacteria from causing further dental complications.

We will apply a flouride solution to your teeth and it will sit on your teeth for a few minutes as it absorbs.

Bruxism is when you grind or clench your teeth, especially while asleep. This can lead to complications like jaw pain, headaches, TMJ, and worn teeth. We can customize night guards and bite appliances to fit your mouth to help you re-align your bite, and improve grinding and sleep.

What to Expect

After your consultation where our doctors will discuss symptoms you’re experiencing, we will take impressoins of your teeth. We also have the _______ light which can scan your teeth without any discomfort and provide immediate feedback. Once the appliance is created, you will work with the doctor to adjust it to your comfort.

TMJ Treatment

The TMJ or temporomandibular joint connects your lower jaw to your skull. It’s purpose is to make speaking, speaking, and yawning seamless. TMJ disorders affect muscles surrounding the joint and can cause jaw pain, difficulty opening and closing your mouth, headaches, popping sounds or sensations, and more. These disorders can arise from teeth grinding and clenching, injury to the area, stress, and bite or jaw misalignment.

The breathing interruptions can last for several seconds and can happen throughout your time asleep. This can lead to disrupted oxygen levels in the body. Sleep apnea often occurs due to overly relaxed throat muscles blocking the flow of oxygen intake and breathing. People with sleep apnea often snore, make choking sounds, feel tired often throughout the day, and sometimes gasp for air during sleep. If not addressed, this disorder can lead to serious complications like stroke, heart disease, and high blood pressure.

What to Expect

The dentist will review your health history and evaluate your symptoms. If the doctor deems it necessary, they might refer you to a sleep study to be diagnosed. There are a few ways to treat this disorder including oral appliances, bite guards, and even a machine that can regulate breathing during sleep.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth Extractions may be necessary for a myriad of reasons. Tooth decay or fracture that is beyond repair, gum disease, and overcrowding are the most common reasons you may have a tooth extracted. Wisdom teeth removal is also a common occurrence due to overcrowding or creating jaw misalignment. Wisdom teeth are also difficult to clean and can cause problems in the future.

What to Expect

After your consultation and evaluation, you will schedule an appointment to have the necessary teeth extracted. You will receive a topical anesthetic, followed by a local anesthetic before the procedure. For more in-depth procedures like wisdom teeth removal, you may receive a sedative. The dentist will then loosen and remove the specific teeth. You will be given specific instructions for after care.
