The dental office of Trivette Osborne & Associates was established in the mid-1960s by dentist Dr. Lawrence W. Trivette, Jr. in Fountain City, Knoxville. The current location on Essary Drive was built in 1976 for dentistry. In 1998, Dr. Trivette’s daughter, Dr. Ann Trivette, completed medical school and joined the practice at the same time as Dr. Trivette's cousin, Derek Osborne.

Both Dr. Ann and Dr. Derek went on to become partners and owners of the practice which still remains in their hands today. This team of doctors created a friendly family environment of care for their patients which continues today. Michelle Adams joined the team in 2013, Brennan Pilgreen in 2017, and Zachary Larson in 2023. Together, our team of doctors has over 65 years of experience and is here to serve you.

Meet Our Doctors

Ann S. Trivette, DDS

Dr. Ann Trivette has a passion for both people and dentistry and her patients know her for her positive, sincere, and caring demeanor. Dr. Trivette joined her father in a legacy of dentistry that has resulted in valued patient relationships and exceptional dental experiences. She grew up in the Fountain City community and loves being part of the area that holds a special place in her heart. After completing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis, Tennessee she returned to serve patients with her dad in 1988. Dr. Trivette believes in post-graduate study and continuously advancing her skills. She enjoys the community of dentists in various study clubs and associations, especially The Oral Design and Implant Study Club. Dr. Trivette and her husband, Charles Wall, and son, Kent Smith, enjoy being outside as much as possible enjoying lake time and a round of golf.

Derek A. Osborne, DDS

Dr. Derek Osborne joined Dr. Ann Trivette at the dental office of Trivette Osborne & Associates in 1998. Dr. Osborne received his degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville in 1985 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Tennessee - Memphis in 1989. He completed a comprehensive General Practice Residency with the U.S. Army and consequently did a tour in Europe for the next four years. After joining a practice near his home in East Tennessee, he was elated to join Ann Trivette in Knoxville to begin their practice together. Dr. Osborne is focused on patient experiences, high-quality dentistry, and his relationships with each person who comes into the office. Dr. Osborne is a member of the American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association, Second District Dental Society, and American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry – a designation requiring over 500 hours of post-graduate study. During his time off, Dr. Osborne enjoys spending time with his wife of 35 years and his family, including his two grandkids. He enjoys multiple sports activities and events.

Michell S. Adams, DDS

Dr. Michelle Adams, a Knoxville native, joined Trivette Osborne & Associates in 2013. She received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then completed her dental education at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee where she graduated with Honors. Dr. Michelle Adams provides comprehensive care with a gentle touch to help her patients achieve their goals for the functional and esthetic dental health they deserve. She truly has a passion for people and strives to provide a comfortable and welcoming experience for patients of all ages. She continues to educate herself with fellow dentists through study clubs and associations. In 2014, Dr. Adams married her high school sweetheart, Scott, and together they have a daughter, Chloe.

Brennan Pilgreen, DDS

Dr. Brennan Pilgreen has been practicing dentistry at Trivette Osborne & Associates since 2017. She received her bachelor’s degree from Maryville College in Maryville, TN, and continued her academic career in Memphis, Tennessee at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Here she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Pilgreen continues with her studies through dental study clubs and weekend courses to build her knowledge. Dr. Pilgreen has a heart for caring for her patients and making sure all their questions are answered and their concerns addressed before starting treatment. She wants to alleviate any anxiety her patients might have about their dental experience. She is a mom to daughter, Riley, and two dogs, Luna & Lily. She enjoys crafting, staying active, and being outdoors.

Zachary Larson, DDS

Dr. Zach Larson joined the Trivette Osborne & Associates dental practice in July 2023. After studying chemical engineering at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, he went on to achieve a doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. Dr. Larson is always striving to learn how to improve the patient experience with care and comfort while accomplishing their dental goals. He continues to seek education through dental study club opportunities as well as with our team collaborations. He is happy to be back in Knoxville with his wife Carly, and their dogs, Zoey & Jasper. His free time includes hiking, camping in the Great Smoky Mountains, and Vols football.
